DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Many applications that are used (and developed) by SPIL GAMES use a MySQL database. We are currently looking for a database specialist who enjoys all aspects of working with MySQL including the following:

  • Maintaining database instances that run in MySQL;
  • Signaling bottlenecks within existing database instances;
  • Optimizing existing database structures;
  • Thinking about design of future applications.
Your Profile:
  • Bachelor-level education;
  • Minimum 3 years experience in maintaining MySQL databases;
  • Familiarity with programming languages C/C++ and PHP;
  • MySQL certification is considered a plus;
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL/Oracle/MSSQL is considered a plus;
  • Experience with high-traffic websites;
  • Experience with Linux/Unix;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Good knowledge of Dutch and English, both written and spoken;
  • Team player who is accurate and flexible with good analytic capabilities;
